Not sure if I'm pissed because they did and are still doing it, or because I didn't think of it. When the Internet came out, certain people starting building multiple Domains for McDonalds, Sears, Nordstrom, Wal-Mart, bigger stores, radio stations . . . every store or other business they could think of (probably looking in phone book, on the Internet to find as many as possible), knowing that these places would want their names for their websites because that's how people would most easily find them. So these guys/gals doing this... building the Domains with nothing on them, would sell for a high price the Domains to these places and I believe they made out very, very well until some law passed at some point (don't remember when). So again, really not sure if I'm pissed at them for taking advantage? Or pissed at myself for not thinking of doing that myself? Hmmmm Like a guy at the recycle place the other day said (as he wore his born again Christian cross), "the way to make double the amount on cans is to add a teaspoon or tablespoon of sand in the cans, they never notice and that way you get twice as much". I thought about that because I am starving by the end of every month, foraging the cupboards for whatever (as all of you in and out of the USA know, our economy is waaaaaay low right now). (My cats still eat the highest quality food and we all drink spring water - that's a staple here, heh). But decided against doing the sand in the can thing. Doing illegal things has never been my thing.
